How to Get to Tibet from Kunming

From Kunming Changshui International Airport you can fly directly to Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA) in about three hours. This single-flight convenience is what makes Kunming a classic gateway. If a direct flight does not suit your schedule, you can also connect through another Chinese city such as Chengdu, or combine a flight with the scenic Qinghai–Tibet Railway for a gentler ascent.
