6-Day Lhasa and Namtso Lake Small Group Tour
Lhasa · Lhasa · Lhasa · Namtso Lake · Lhasa · Lhasa
This six-day tour gives you the best of Lhasa and then carries you up onto the open northern plateau to Namtso, a vast turquoise lake at 4,718m that is one of the most beautiful places in all of Tibet. Crossing the Lhakpa La pass at over 5,100m on the way, you trade temples and crowds for grassland, yaks, and an enormous sky.
We sequence the days so you acclimatize in Lhasa first, visiting the Potala, Jokhang, Drepung, and Sera, before heading to higher ground. Staying overnight at Namtso means you catch both sunset and sunrise over the water, when the light on the Nyenchen Tanglha range is at its finest, and you have a real shot at a brilliant night sky.
Foreign travelers must visit Tibet on an organized tour with a licensed agency. We handle your Tibet Travel Permit, guide, hotels, and private vehicle from start to finish.
